Case Study
International Florist Company
TOP international florist Daisy Chain is blooming thanks to ongoing ICT advice from the West Yorkshire eBusiness Club’s specialist ICT advisor, Martin Jones.
Daisy Chain has three shops in Leeds but has clients around the world thanks to their new international e-business web site. Daisy Chain’s Jackie Mara met with Martin an accredited ICT adviser, for advice on developing an e-commerce web site.
And thanks to a link up with Adam Oldfield of Zagota UK Ltd - one of Martin’s three quoted clients - Jackie and Daisy Chain were able to make the best use of the e-business opportunity.
Martin says: “Jackie wanted an e-commerce site with certain key elements - loyalty points for members, date reminder service, membership application and an automatic e-mail facility. At the same time, it was important that the site reflect the high class corporate image and with this brief Adam and his team at Zagota were able to produce a fantastic site which incorporates these ideas. The result is a very stylish site which is a perfect sales and marketing tool for their growing business.”
Jackie says: “We have devoted a great deal of our time working in partnership with Zagota with Adam detailing and exacting our every requirement. The result is an excellent business tool that is continually arousing interest online queries and orders. This is a wonderful business benefit, being a true asset to our future business sales and growth potential. Without it, we would have thought hard about going ahead with such a site. It proves that working in true partnership is a winning approach.”
Established in 1984, Daisy Chain combines the knowledge of two generations in the flower business.
Martin, who is a specialist advisor, available thought the West Yorkshire eBusiness Club, says: “Whatever the technology are, I am able discuss clients’ business objectives, aims and plans and then provide a common sense practical proposal and solution ensuring firms use ICT as an effective tool to help them best manage and control their businesses.”
